Capital of Serbia

Belgrade is situated in South-East of Europe, at the very entrance from Central Europe to Balkan Peninsula. It lies at the confluence of the Sava and Danube Rivers in north central Serbia, where the Pannonian Plain meets the Balkan Peninsula. With almost 2.000.000 citizens, Belgrade is the capital of Serbian state, culture, education, science and economy. As a result of its turbulent history, many nations have been living in Belgrade for centuries; hence Belgrade’s charming mixture of both Central Europe and Orient. Its climate is moderate, and all the four seasons are distinguished, which makes it popular all year round. However, Belgrade is notorious for its beautiful, sunny autumn which we call “Miholj summer”.

Largest city in the region

With its population of around two million, Belgrade is the largest city in the region, and the fourth largest in Southeast Europe. Most of the Serbian economy is settled in Belgrade. Also, the vast majority of international companies choose Belgrade as their base not only for Serbia but for the whole region of Southeast Europe. This makes Belgrade one of the most important economic cities in the region.

Belgrade is also a serious contestant on European Convention Market. Offering several conference and exhibition venues with capacities 2000+ participants each, and dozens of conference venues with capacities up to 600 participants; Belgrade is quickly becoming the leader in Balkan Convention Industry.

Ever growing interest of major international hotel chains led Belgrade to one of the top “Best Value” destinations in last several years. Yet, a large number of smaller charm hotels are very tough competitors even for some of the most respected hotels throughout Europe.
